All of our membership options are hierarchical. Your Designated REALTOR® must be a member in order for Broker Associates/Agents to become members Altitude REALTORS®. This also applies to MLS Only subscriptions. A broker with an independent level license must fill out a Designated REALTOR® application and pay the associated fees. Prior to granting membership we check licensing with DORA and REALTOR® membership through the National REALTOR® Database (NRDS) for all applicants.
The steps listed below are for Primary Membership, but will only vary slightly for our different membership types.
Once you have completed the licensing requirements through the State of Colorado you are eligible for REALTOR® membership with Altitude REALTORS®.
Hang your license with a broker that is a member of Altitude REALTORS®.
Complete a membership application (See various options below)
Pay the dues and fees related to membership. This will include an application fee, dues to the Local, State and National Associations of REALTORS®. Fees for access to the Summit MLS are billed monthly. Our prorated dues are listed below.
You will be provided with a membership number to the National Association of Realtors. As a provisional member, you will need to complete the Code of Ethics within 3 months of your join date and New Member Orientation Once within 2 offerings of the course.

When you join a local Association such as Altitude REALTORS®, you are also joining the state and national REALTOR® Associations. Primary membership with Altitude means that your state and national dues are also paid to us and then we pass along this payment to the state and national levels.
Applicants for REALTOR® membership shall be granted provisional membership immediately upon submission of a completed application form and remittance of applicable association dues and application fee. Provisional members will be considered REALTORS® and shall be granted all of the same privileges and obligations of membership. Failure to complete the orientation program (including Code of Ethics training) within 6 months of the date of application will result in termination of provisional membership. You must reapply and your application will be processed as a new application. The Principal Broker of your firm will then be assessed the dues in accordance with the Association's Bylaws.
Upon satisfactory completion of the orientation program and approval by the SSBR Board of Directors, membership in the Colorado Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® (the world’s largest professional trade association) is granted. The term REALTOR® is a registered collective membership mark that identifies a real estate professional as a member of NAR who subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

Secondary membership with Altitude means that you have primary membership with another local board in Colorado and your state and national dues are paid through them. Some individuals will choose to have their primary membership with one board and secondary membership at other boards so they can receive the benefits of membership from each local board. If the current year's Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) dues have been paid through your primary association/board, then only the application fee and SSBR local dues apply. Dues will be prorated based on the month you join.

This is a subscription only option for real estate brokers interested in having access to the Summit Multiple Listing Service. In order to have an MLS subscription with Summit MLS, you must hold REALTOR® membership at an association.
The Designated REALTOR® must establish subscription to the Summit MLS before any other agents in the firm may join. Prior to granting access we check licensing with DORA for all applicants and REALTOR® membership through NRDS.

Affiliate members will be individuals who, while not engaged in the real estate profession, have interest concerning real estate and are in sympathy with the objectives of the Association. If you’re not listing or selling and do not hold an active real estate license, Affiliate membership is ideal. Affiliate Member benefits include the ability to participate in membership meetings, special events, and serve on committees, including a booth at our annual Affiliates Trade Show, a free listing on the SSBR Website and access to Realtor® membership rosters. There are various sponsorship opportunities; and affiliate members have many networking opportunities for promoting their products and services to the REALTOR® community.
